چکیده

We study a periodic arrangement of magnetic regions in one-dimensional superconducting wire. Due to the local exchange field, each region supports Andreev bound states that hybridize forming Bloch bands subgap spectrum what we call crystal (AC). As an illustration, ACs with ferromagnetic and antiferromagnetic alignment are considered. relate spectral asymmetry index spin-resolved Hamiltonian spin polarization identify it as observable quantifies closing reopening excitation gap. In particular, exhibit sequence gapped phases separated by gapless Dirac phase boundaries. Heterojunctions between neighboring support spin-polarized at interface. close analogy charge fractionalization systems mass inversion, find interface spin.

Noncollinear double quasi phase matching in one-dimensional poled crystals.

We demonstrate simultaneous phase matching of two different nonlinear processes, using a noncollinear interaction in periodically poled crystal with single grating. The noncollinear scheme provides phase-matching solutions over continuous regions of the optical spectrum and can be used for multiple-harmonic generation as well as all-optical effects. We have demonstrated experimentally third-har...

Phase Properties of One-Dimensional Quaternary Photonic Crystals

In this paper, properties of reflection phase in one-dimensional quaternary photonic crystals combining dispersive meta-materials and positive index materials are investigated by transfer matrix method. Two omnidirectional band gaps are located in the band structure of considered structure. However, we limit our studies to the frequency range of the second wide band gap. We observe that the val...

Three - dimensional quasi - linear electromagnetic inversion

One of the most challenging problems of electromagnetic (EM) geophysical methods is developing three-dimensional (3-D) EM inversion techniques. This problem is of utmost importance in practical applications because of the 3-D nature of the geological structures. The main difficulties in 3-D inversion are related to (1) limitations of 3-D forward modeling codes available and (2) ill-posedness of...

Engineering two-dimensional nonlinear photonic quasi-crystals.

A known algorithm for modeling quasi-periodic lattices is used to generate two-dimensional quadratic nonlinear photonic quasi-crystals containing a set of desired discrete spectral components. This allows us to fabricate optical devices in which an arbitrary set of nonlinear optical processes can be efficient. We demonstrate this capability by fabricating two devices: a multidirectional single-...

Quasi - One - Dimensional Riemann Problems

We study two-dimensional Riemann problems with piecewise constant data. We identify a class of two-dimensional systems, including many standard equations of compressible ow, which are simpliied by a transformation to similarity variables. For equations in this class, a two-dimensional Riemann problem with sectorially constant data becomes a boundary-value problem in the nite plane. For data lea...
